Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Miami is considered the premier BBBS agency in the United States. In 2013, Rolando was asked to lead the development of a separate fundraising foundation to support a new multi-million dollar headquarters made possible by The Carnival Foundation's $5 million lead gift.
In 2013 the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation was launched with dynamic new major gift and branding strategies, a prestigious board of directors and other programs seeking to double the amount of private funds raised by the agency. Rolando also conceived and led the implementation of BBBS's Miracle Society ($5,000 donors) and Dreamakers ($50,000 donors).
In 2014, Rolando was tasked with leading the re-organization and integration of BBBS’s complete fundraising programs, including signature events, monthly giving programs, PR and marketing strategies and cause related marketing programs. As consulting Vice President of Philanthropy, he launched a new grant department, new alumni association and a new membership group leading to yearly double-digit fundraising growth.
