Plaza Health Network Foundation
In 2017, Rolando helped launch the Plaza Health Network Foundation in Miami, dedicated to raising funds for the largest elderly care nursing network in South Florida.
The Plaza Health Network Foundation plays a critical role for the seven outstanding, award winning rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers of the Plaza Health Network, as well as for the South Florida community. As the philanthropic arm for Plaza Health Network, the mission of the Foundation is to provide funds that allow the development of patient-focused programs and services that go beyond the basics covered by Medicare and Medicaid, including Music & Memory for patients and residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Rolando envisioned and helped create the foundation's signature program, the Virtual Family Reunion System, to help patients stay connected with family and friends.
Rolando developed the organization's bylaws and strategic plan, the Circle of Life major donor recognition society, the Sunburst Society for $5,000 members, helped direct the creation of the foundation's website, and provided direction to recruit the foundation's initial board of directors.
